Only compare fuel consumption, CO2 and electric range figures with other vehicles tested to the same technical procedures. Due to more realistic test conditions, the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions measured under WLTP are in many cases higher compared to NEDC equivalent data.
Fuel consumption, CO2 and electric range figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including the accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles and vehicle load (and, for battery electric vehicles, the starting charge of the battery).
WLTP is a new test used for fuel consumption CO2 and electric range figures. The NEDC CO2 figures shown however, are based on a calculation designed to be equivalent to the outgoing test cycle and will be used to calculate vehicle tax on first registration.
